About Me
There's something to be said about fluidity and fun when it comes to training. Training doesn't start with conquering a big goal, it's about being present. Putting intentional effort towards confidence over compliance will sustainably modify behavior. I help build relationships while giving the breadcrumbs to success. Obedience is not natural, it's taught through a delicate, intentional process.

I use a range of techniques to help owners support their dogs to better their relationships. I use educated and well-thought-out balanced training techniques to not only train dogs, but to teach owners how to understand dog behavior and communication, and to sustainably build on their relationship. We cultivate unique training plans to support a dog as an individual, not to support one cookie-cutter way of training.

I have worked with & loved animals my whole life. Beginning in Kenya, I was born into an animal kingdom. My father worked with exotic animals (primarily elephants) & passed his passion and expertise of animalship to me. Throughout middle school, I spent my summers working & living with dogs, ponies, horses, mules, camels & elephants. Soon after, I adopted my first dog, Bentley (who I still have). I spent my adolescence understanding her behavior & how to best communicate with her. We even experienced living in Abu Dhabi together.

While attending the University of Vermont, I worked as a dog handler at a local doggie daycare. Although I no longer support or recommend that type of environment for dogs, I was able to absorb training techniques and quickly learned how to navigate unique dog behaviors at high volumes. I also worked as a Therapeutic Horsemanship instructor, where I further understood the importance of animal connection.

I started Intentional Animalship with the goal to help owners communicate more effectively and to grow a more reliable and stable relationship with their dog. In our 4 years of business, it has been an honor to assist almost 350 dogs.

As a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), I continue and expand my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I support the IACP for their representation of ethical balanced training practices.

I look forward to helping you grow with your companion!
